October 2020 Newsletter
Due to COVID, congregate meals and activities are currently on hold. By early April, our meal delivery program quickly expanded from serving 9 to serving 124 individual older adults monthly. The dramatic growth was in obvious response to quarantine mandates and suggestions by the CDC for vulnerable populations to stay home and stay safe in the midst of the COVID pandemic.

Cheryl Fanelli, Volunteer Coordinator: Cheryl has been a dedicated volunteer with the Nederland Area Seniors for over 10 years! She was hired in September and we are so excited to have her as a member of our team to help coordinate our amazing volunteers to continue meal deliveries. Home Delivered Library Materials: In partnership with Nederland Community Library, you are now able to request library books, movies, DVDs, CD and Audio Books to be delivered with your meal. You pick the genre or specific titles for the once-a-week drop off and pick-up.

Flu Shots Available:
Boulder County Public Health will be giving Free flu shots Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 10am-12pm at the Nederland Community Center upper parking lot.
**Don’t forget to VOTE! 2020 Election Day is Tuesday, November 3! Mail in ballots can be dropped off at the Nederland Community Center ballot box.
